Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Dark Pane is designed so that chat inference runs on your device. We do not operate a cloud chat API for your messages. You do not need an account to use the core app.

3. Data stored on your device

Depending on your settings and use, the app may store locally:

• Chat messages and multi-chat history (if you enable save / persistence)
• Generation settings (temperature, tokens, persona / custom instructions)
• Notes and reminders created via tools
• Basic UI preferences

This data stays on the device unless you export or share it yourself (for example share/copy a transcript). You can clear history, notes, and reminders from Settings (or equivalent in-app controls).

4. Network activity

After a model is on device, generation does not require a network connection. Network may be used when you:

• Open external links (App Store, website, X, Instagram, email client)
• Use OS features that themselves call the network (not controlled by Dark Pane)

We do not sell personal information. The product is built without a default analytics/telemetry pipeline for chat content. If a future build adds optional diagnostics, it will be disclosed in-app and in an updated policy.

5. Third parties

• Apple — App Store distribution, payments if any, and device OS privacy controls.
• Hosting of this website — darkpane.com is served by a web host (e.g. Vercel) which may process standard web logs (IP, user agent) for delivery and security.

6. Children

Dark Pane is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). Do not use the app if you are under that age.

7. Your choices

• Leave chat history off / clear history
• Delete notes and reminders
• Uninstall the app to remove local app data (subject to OS behavior)
• Contact us to ask questions about this policy

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes may also be noted on darkpane.com.
